workforce in excess of 50 employees who are split between the sales, admin,
project design, graphic design, commissioning, service, maintenance, panel
building and stores departments.
About the role:
With increasing
demand for our services we are currently seeking for individuals to join our
engineering departments focusing on commissioning, service and maintenance of
Energy Management Systems.
The successful
applicants shall be field based and will be responsible for commissioning new
installations, responding to break down calls and maintaining existing
installations.
With time and
full training an engineers tasks can include:
Software:
Writing bespoke control strategy for electrical and
mechanical systems
Modifying existing strategy
Interfacing with 3rd
party equipment
Creating graphic backdrops for
client software
Engineering client software
with dynamic real time values
Setting up server software for
client access
Tuning PID control loops to achieve the most
efficient control
Carry out demonstration and
training of client software
Configure web browsers
Control Panels:
Commissioning of new already
installed control panels
Modification and
re-engineering of control panels
Fault diagnoses
Carry out preventative
maintenance
Surveying panel condition
Networking:
Design and setup TCP/IP Ethernet networks (Lan,
Wan, Dial-up)
Design and setup Echelon
networks
Design and setup current loop networks (Lan, Wan,
Dial-up)
Fault diagnoses on all of the
above
Configure remote access for
client on above networks
Configure intercommunications between different
controllers
Configure intercommunications
between different networks
Other Tasks:
Represent the company at site meetings making
technical and commercial decisions.
Provide training to customers and colleagues
Supervise large projects
Advise contractors on correct installation of
electrical and mechanical systems.
About the environment:
An engineer can
expect to find themselves working within plant room environments such as boiler
houses or ventilation plant rooms were control panels are likely to be
situated. Also some controls may be located within offices, factories, schools,
university’s, shops, building roofs and basements.

About The Applicant:
The role of a
BEMS engineer is wide spread and diverse and as such requires many skills and
talents.
There is not
one particular background which leads to new employees becoming successful
engineers. However we do recognize that the job is split quite evenly between
two main disciplines that are electrical and computer orientated.
Due to this we
welcome applicants from both an electrical background preferably with an HNC /
HND and an IT background preferably graduates. Applications from 4th
year apprentices and under graduates will also be considered.
Full training
will be provided on all aspects of the job and a grading structure is in place
with various positions within the junior, intermediate and senior engineer
brackets in order to allow each engineer the opportunity to set targets and
advance through the system.
